Structural Rivets

Structural rivets (also known as break-stem rivets) are tubular riveting devices supplied with a mandrel through the center.

The rivet assembly is inserted into a hole that has been drilled through the parts that are to be joined. A tool is then used to pull the mandrel into the rivet.

This process compresses the rivet body and expands the end of the rivet, causing the mandrel to snap in the process, giving these fasteners the common ā€œpop rivetā€ name.
